New psychoactive substances (NPS) are a challenge for the worldwide forensic toxicology industry. Advances in chemistry, technology, and globalization have enabled rapid development and diffusion of NPS’s. Currently there are a large number of new psychoactive substances with continuous chemical development of the substances on the market.

New psychoactive substances are manufactured to mimic the effects of conventional drugs, the chemical formulas are constantly altered to the point that the chemical is legal therefore circumventing narcotic laws of drug testing. There are many requirements for NPS drug testing including treatment for drug users, patient compliance, driving under the influence of drugs, and post-mortem toxicology.

                                  Biochip Array Technology

Using our patented multiplexing Biochip Array Technology, Randox Toxicology has a diverse range of products including our lasted New Psychoactive Substances panels and ELISA tests detecting the latest designer drugs on the market.

Our cutting-edge patented Biochip Array Technology allows for the detection of a vast range of drug classes from a single sample. Excellent assay precision and performance eliminates false reporting, therefore reducing unnecessary confirmatory tests and time lost in the laboratory as a result.
