PerthNow have released a report claiming that sleeping pills and anti-anxiety drugs have become the nation’s silent killer in Australia. With the number of people dying from prescription drugs having more than doubled in a decade, studies indicate that five people a day are now dying from a drug related overdose.
According to the most recent American Addiction Center record, almost 80 percent of people have suffered from substance use disorder in the US. The most affected populations are young adults between age 18 to 25 and older adults from age 57 to 85. Among the affected population, males make up a larger portion than females.
The latest wastewater findings from the European-wide SCORE group revealed that cocaine use is highest in western and southern European cities, particularly Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
